Our Tennis Ball Recycling initiative is returning to the world stage. From 11 to 19 July 2026, we'll be at the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad, collecting the tennis balls used by superstars such as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Stan Wawrinka.
First Reuse, Then Recycle
The balls collected from the tournament won't end up in a display case — they'll go back into play. First, they are sorted by the socially oriented BAND Cooperative in Bern. All balls that are still suitable for play are then distributed to local tennis clubs for junior training.
Only once the balls have truly reached the end of their playing life do they return to us for recycling. The idea is simple: First reuse, then recycle. This way, every tennis ball gets a longer life before its materials are finally recovered.

Our Movement Is Growing
With the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad, one of Switzerland's most prestigious tennis tournaments is joining our recycling network. Together with the Swiss Indoors Basel, we are now proud to count Switzerland's two major ATP tournaments among our recycling partners.
We'd like to thank the Swiss Open Gstaad for their trust, and we're looking forward to our first tournament together this summer.
Across Switzerland, we're already working with more than 300 tennis clubs and tennis centres to close the loop in tennis and save as many balls as possible from incineration.
Would you like to join the movement and help give tennis balls a second life? Sign up for our recycling program today.
